Talent, innovation and future: our experience at UPV

Hello!

Last week we took part in the Employment, Business and Training Forum at the Universitat Politècnica de València, one of the most important talent events in Spain, and I wanted to share a personal reflection with you.

For ITV Ice Makers, it has been a very positive experience. We received more than 700 CVs, which shows that there is a huge amount of young talent —as well as experienced profiles— eager to learn, grow, and be part of real industrial projects. Now we have the task of reviewing all of this material carefully, but I am confident that among those candidates we will find very valuable people for our team.

Beyond the CVs, I believe the most important outcome has been increasing our visibility. Many students approached our stand with curiosity when they discovered that in Valencia there is a family-owned company that designs, manufactures, and exports professional ice machines worldwide. They were impressed by what we do, our technology, our international reach, and above all, the fact that it all comes from here, from our region.

The stand worked very well. The visuals, the TV, the video, the cutaway machine, and the competition all helped attract attention and sparked interest in ITV.

I also take away some ideas for improvement. These events are an extraordinary opportunity not only to show who we are, but also to better showcase what we do. Profiles in engineering, industrial design, electronics, production, or quality are especially attracted to seeing real products, technology, and manufacturing in action. There is a huge opportunity there.

I would especially like to thank all the people who made our participation in the forum possible: those who prepared the stand, the branding, the video, logistics, the competition, the machine, the student engagement, and the CV collection. And also those who represented ITV there with enthusiasm and pride.

Every time we go out and explain what we do, we realize we have a very powerful story to tell: a Valencian, family-owned, industrial, exporting, technological company with a future.

Thank you all for helping to build that story every day.

A warm embrace,

Cristina Cordón
