ITV receives ecoriba award for its commitment to circular economy
Premios ecoriba

ITV Ice Makers has received the EcoRiba Circular award, which recognises companies that have implemented significant actions in the field of the circular economy in terms of energy efficiency, waste reduction, reuse and recycling, and CO2 emissions reduction.

ITV is a company that is at the forefront of technological progress and one of the strategic pillars on which it is based is respect for the environment. In this sense, the company has been carrying out different actions for years to promote the circular economy and reduce the consumption and waste of raw materials, water and energy sources.

Reuse, energy efficiency and reduction of environmental impact are priorities for ITV machines.

Some of the main actions carried out in terms of internal processes are the installation of a tank for water treatment and reuse, which has reduced water consumption by 500%, and the reduction of waste oils from the process and management by authorised companies.

This policy of promoting the circular economy is reflected in the products developed. In this sense, in recent years the company has made a great effort to reduce the energy consumption of the ice machines and the refrigerants used in the ice machines have been replaced with environmentally friendly refrigerants such as R290 (Propane) or CO2.

In addition, the company has a so-called Renove Plan to encourage users to replace their old models with new, environmentally friendly ones.

For the development of these circular economy actions, the company is based on an R&D policy that has allowed it to continuously innovate in processes and products. ITV is currently recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness as an Innovative SME.

The ITV Ice Makers team thanks the Ribarroja de Turia town council and its mayor, Roberto Pascual Raga, for this type of action that helps to promote innovation and the involvement of companies in reducing their environmental impact and committing to sustainable growth.
