At ITV, we believe that culture is also part of a company’s life. Music, art, and literature inspire us, connect us, and remind us that behind every machine there are people.
A few years ago, we decided to live a different experience together: going to the opera. All of us, from the various teams, shared that first time at the Palau de les Arts. Some didn’t quite know what to expect; others had never crossed the doors of an opera house before. But just a few chords were enough for silence to fall, and we all felt the same: wonder, emotion, and beauty.
Since then, we’ve kept that tradition alive. Throughout the year, we raffle and reward opera tickets, and at Christmas, we celebrate a very special gathering. During that edition, a singer performed exclusively the most representative arias for us. Each team identified with a different opera —a story, an emotion, a reflection of who we are—. It was a magical night.
Seeing some colleagues discover this art for the first time was one of the most moving moments. I especially remember Emilio’s emotion: his gaze, his contained smile, the way the final applause embraced him. It was a reminder that sharing beauty leaves a mark.
At ITV we don’t just make ice machines; we also celebrate the human capacity to feel together. Because there are experiences that, like opera, teach us that true value lies in feeling.
