ITV Ice Makers has collaborated with the EcoHigiene project, developed by the AINIA Technology Centre, for the development of strategies to improve the sustainability of cleaning and disinfection operations in the food industry with a reduced use of resources and less environmental impact.
Specifically, it has provided the Technology Centre with a granular ice machine for the application of ozonised ice for the preservation of fish.
The application of new eco-efficient sanitising technologies can lead to water savings of up to 44% in the food and cosmetics industry, according to the results of the EcoHigiena project, developed by AINIA Technology Centre, with the support of IVACE and FEDER Funds.
