But when it comes to huge amounts of ice as the ones produced in flakes by the ITV SCALA range, the choice is Orbital bins. They are designed to store and supply, inside refrigerated chambers, the large quantities of this kind of ice. They are widely used in logistic centers for fresh fish, fish markets, ports, food industries or superstore headquarters.
The exclusive design of the hopper and cone-shaped ice scatterer prevent the formation of holes and blocks of ice. Besides, the orbital bin includes a spindle with simultaneous movement and rotation that moves the ice, facilitating the drainage of melting water, breaking blocks, and preventing the formation of caves. The result is dry, loose ice.
It is worth mentioning that the bin has an automatic dispensing system that saves time in handling ice and decreases losses because of unused, melted ice. An optional weighing system can be included.
